Convair Engineering Pty Ltd (Convair) is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information it collects, handles and stores and that these activities are carried out in accordance with the legislative requirements of the relevant jurisdictions. 


This policy supersedes in its entirety all previous privacy policies.

Respect for Your privacy

Convair respects our customers', clients', suppliers' and employees' (each and together, "you" or "your") right to the privacy of their personal information. We have developed and implemented policies and procedures that ensure all personal information is handled sensitively, securely and in accordance with the relevant jurisdictions legislative requirements.

This Privacy Policy details:

  • the types of information we may hold about you and for what purposes;
  • how we may collect, retain, use and disclose that information;
  • information that you should be aware of regarding information we collect about you;
  • your rights to access and seek correction of information we may hold about you; 
  • how to complain about privacy issues and how we will deal with such a complaint; and
  • where you can obtain further information.

What personal information do we collect and store?

Depending on the nature of your relationship with Convair, we may collect personal information such as your name, address, telephone number or email address. For prospective employees, we may also seek information such as your resume; employment history; and in some cases where it is a requirement of the position, the results of medical testing and psychometric testing.  For customers, we may collect information about the use of our products and services.  Convair shall only collect information about you by lawful and fair means and if it is reasonably necessary to do so for one of its functions or activities.

Convair has in place measures to ensure your personal information is protected from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure or amendment. We also have in place procedures to destroy or permanently remove the identity of personal information as it becomes obsolete.

In general terms, you are under no obligation to provide any information that we may request of you. You should however be aware that by withholding requested information, we may be unable to provide you with our goods or services, particularly if the information requested is required by law.

How do we use your personal information?

Convair typically uses personal information collected for purposes such as keeping you informed of our products or services, undertaking business transactions with you, complying with our obligations of employment and keeping you updated on company information and events such as shareholder meetings.  We store our information using cloud & local technology and as such, your information may be stored on servers located in Singapore or Hong Kong. Convair has taken reasonable steps to ensure that the privacy of your information is stored and maintained in accordance with Australian privacy laws. 

We may disclose your information to a third party in the event it is legal to do so and/or we are compelled to do so by law. You have the right to tell us not to send you information other than for the main purpose for which we have collected your personal details. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact the General Manager of Convair.

Accessing your personal information

On request, we shall provide you with access to any personal information we may hold about you (unless otherwise permitted by law). To obtain your personal information you should contact the General Manager of Convair.

Prior to providing any information to you, we will require proof of identity. In most cases, your information shall be provided free of charge, however for complex or substantial requests we may charge a reasonable fee for this service.

Should you wish to update or amend personal information that we hold, you should contact Convair so that we may make the change.
